I have alot of CATCHING UP TO DO!
I haven't posted for a really long time. Mostly becuase Kevin teased me about blogging, but he's stuck with me -- so I shouldn't take his criticism to heart. My faithful partner in crime, Irene, has inspired me to start writing again. So, in the words of Swayze Fisher "I HAVE A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO!"
I would like to first discuss Discovery Health.
Recently Kevin, Anthony and I watched "Born without a Face" over dinner -- which wasn't the greatest idea. This little girl was really born without a face, but she had most of the parts for a face. She was born with only half of her facial bones. Despite her disfigured face she had this beautiful golden hair that was always moving as though the wind were blowing it. We were mesmerized by her gentle hair. After my stomach settled while watching the program we all fell in love with the little girl.
I thought it would be alright to watch "Born with Two Heads", which immediately followed "Born without a face". I was wrong again. We didn't make it past the first few minutes. The camera started panning up a normal baby's body and would stop and cut to a doctor, the mother, family member, etc. Then it went all the way up. We weren't prepared for what we saw. It panned up and up and the baby looked normal, we saw the baby's face, then this other head was coming from the baby's head. It was only a head though.... a fully formed functioning head not attached to a body. It was wriggling and crying (and very beautiful also... nature works in weird ways like that. If you are going to be an extra head you will be gorgeous, because nature isn't that cruel.)

Why I'm bringing this up is because last night I almost watched "160 lb Tumor"...but I stopped myself. I have learned my lesson with these programs. I feel as though I have such little innocence left that I shouldn't expose myself to these programs.
